New Art Installation Wows Attendees at Grand Opening

A recently installed 10 foot iron works art piece wowed attendees at a recent business grand opening.

A new art installation was the centerpiece at the grand opening of a new office for MPPL Financial. The piece measures an impressive 10 feet by 5 feet and is a cutout of Lake Superior. It’s made of 16 gauge stainless steel with the company’s logo cut in.

“I wanted this piece to be very special,” says Steven Christensen, the creator of the iron work and owner of Superior IRON-ARTz, LLC. “It hangs over a stairwell and because it’s so large, will hold the full attention of everyone who walks by it.”

The piece was commissioned by Scott Wallschlaeger, a Certified Financial Planner at MPPL Financial with the goal of having it hung before the grand opening. “The deadline was tight, but I did everything I could to make sure it was ready and installed before the party,” says Christensen.

The 10 foot iron piece now hangs in the office of MPPL Financial on Superior street in Duluth, Minnesota for everyone to see. “I’m happy I could play a part in making sure the new office stands out,” says Christensen. “It’s just one reason that I do what I do.”

Custom iron works have become more and more popular over the past few years as both homeowners and business owners look for ways to make their properties stand out from the ordinary. People either create the designs themselves and then commission an artist, or like MPPL Financial, have an artist create a special piece of art tailored to their needs.
