Dr. Hurst’s extensive training and decades of experience coupled with a love for children, no matter their developmental challenges, enable him to care for a wide range of dental needs.

Upon obtaining his DMD degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr. Hurst entered a pediatric residency program where he received advanced training in caring for children with special needs as well as normal developmental issues unique to children.

As Dr. Hurst moves into a new phase of practice, he seeks to implement cutting edge aspects of dental care that once could only be achieved in a hospital setting. His care of an increasing number of patients with special needs provides a unique opportunity to embrace new developments to better serve these families.

Dr. Hurst begins seeing children from their first birthday through their mid twenties. He recommends a child’s first dental visit to educate the parent as much as acclimate the child to the office.
