Spiritual Leader Publishes Workbook for Bible Study

Aberdeen, United States - January 12, 2018 /NewsNetwork/ —

Michael Dorsey spiritual growth leader and owner of Malakim Press is offering his workbook on how to study the bible. Michael a 20 year veteran to spiritual studies started writing books several years ago. Michael says “The workbook is meant to be a study guide for the Bible. There’s no reason you can’t become a skilled Bible student in your own right. Just take the exercises revealed in this workbook and apply them to the parts of the Bible that interest you the most. Once you start becoming proficient at Bible study, God will bless your determination with fresh insights and revelation from the treasures of His Word.”

Rev. Michael Dorsey recalls that as a young boy in Sunday School, they would sometimes compete in a game called Sword Drills. This game taught children how to find their way around the Bible quickly. This game became the inspiration for the title of this workbook. Rev. Michael Dorsey continued saying that “The book began as part of a 4-week course I taught at Riverside Church in the summer of 2013.”

Reverend Dorsey recalls that the original course covered information about the Bible, Bible study tools, and Bible study methods. That material is all included in the book How To Study Your Bible. The students also did hands-on exercises during the class to learn the various different Bible study methods. Those exercises have been expanded to create the Sword Drills workbook.

How to Study the Bible Workbook Workbook will answer all of the questions about the meaning of Bible verses, and what they are meant to teach you through Verse studies. Also how to read the Bible daily consistently with a unique plan to read the Bible through every year. And how to gain an overview of Bible books as well as the entire Bible through survey studies.

Australian Open: A look ahead to Tuesday and recap of Monday

Jan 22, 2018

MELBOURNE, Australia — A glance at the Australian Open: LOOKAHEAD TO TUESDAY It's the start of quarterfinals at Melbourne Park, and no one has a tougher task than Marin Cilic, who plays top-seeded Rafael Nadal. Nadal has won five of six matches against the hard-serving Croatian, including at the 2011 Australian Open, where Nadal won in straight sets in the fourth round. That's the only previous time the pair have met in a Grand Slam. Cilic, who won the 2014 U.S. Open, isn't overawed by Nadal. "Generally, throughout my career, I know that if I'm playing well, if I'm top...

No quarter a given: Djokovic, Thiem out; Chung, Sandgren in

Jan 22, 2018

MELBOURNE, Australia — Even by Australian Open standards, back-to-back shockers have resulted in a most unexpected quarterfinal. The season-opening Grand Slam has a tendency to be unpredictable, but losing six-time champion Novak Djokovic and fifth-ranked Dominic Thiem within a few hours on Monday leaves Hyeon Chung and Tennys Sandgren playing for a spot in the semifinals. The 58th-ranked Chung relentlessly attacked a clearly injured Djokovic in a 7-6 (4), 7-5, 7-6 (3) fourth-round victory, becoming the first South Korean to reach the last eight at a Grand Slam. Then there's Tennys. The 26-year-old from Tennessee had never won a Grand...

Kyrgios upbeat despite falling short yet again at home Slam

Jan 22, 2018

MELBOURNE, Australia — After Nick Kyrgios dropped the first two sets to Grigor Dimitrov in their tense, back-and-forth fourth-round match at the Australian Open, a spectator called out to him as he dejectedly walked back to the service line, "Pick your head up." Kyrgios literally did lift his head for a moment, generating a laugh from the packed Rod Laver Arena audience. He also picked up his spirits — and his game — and slowly clawed his way back into the match. As tends to be the case with Kyrgios, however, his focus soon wavered. Dimitrov won the match 7-6...

Nadal, Dimitrov advance to Australian Open quarterfinals

Jan 22, 2018

MELBOURNE, Australia — After snuffing out local hopes for yet another Australian Open, Grigor Dimitrov huddled with Nick Kyrgios at the net and the pair exchanged encouraging words. It was Kyrgios, having just lost 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-6 (4) in the fourth round in a typically tempestuous performance, who left No. 3-ranked Dimitrov with this message: "Believe." Dimitrov has never won a major, coming closest here last year before losing a semifinal to Rafael Nadal in five sets, but is enhancing his credentials as a next generation champion. Nadal secured his spot in a 10th Australian Open quarterfinal...
