NetworkNewsBreaks – Marijuana Company of America, Inc. (MCOA) JV Completes Setup of 10,000 sq. ft. Greenhouse Space

Innovative hemp and cannabis corporation Marijuana Company of America (OTC: MCOA) this morning announced the completion of the setup of 10,000 sq. ft. of greenhouse space in its Washington-based joint venture (“JV”) with Bougainville Ventures, Inc. Pending the completion of an anticipated inspection this week, the tenant grower will be able to commence cultivation in the greenhouse space. The setup marks the first 10,000 of an intended 30,000 square foot facility with the capacity to hold approximately 4,000 plants. “As landlords we are looking forward to providing a turnkey property to the first of hopefully many licensed tenants in Washington. Providing a turnkey facility for tenant growers is an ideal cultivation environment for tenants with minimal start-up capital and consistent rental income for MCOA,” MCOA CEO Donald Steinberg stated in the news release.

Hamilton wins German GP as rival Vettel crashes late on

Jul 22, 2018

HOCKENHEIM, Germany — Lewis Hamilton regained the championship lead in unexpected and dramatic fashion on Sunday, winning the German Grand Prix after Sebastian Vettel crashed while leading near the end. Heavy rain played havoc late on at the Hockenheimring as Vettel misjudged a basic entry into a turn and slid over the gravel into the barriers with 15 laps to go. The four-time Formula One champion started from pole position and seemed in control. He was livid with himself, kicking the gravel in frustration as he stepped out his car. His mishap opened the door wide open for Hamilton, who...

Hamilton's woes piling up after qualifying run ends early

Jul 22, 2018

HOCKENHEIM, Germany — Crouching down by the side of his Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton lowered his head and stayed perfectly still for several moments. The British driver looked lost in thought, deep in contemplation, seemingly unable to believe what happened on Saturday. A hydraulic failure had just ended his qualifying run prematurely, dropping Formula One's all-time record-holder for pole positions to 14th on the grid for Sunday's race. Hamilton's hopes of winning a record-equaling fourth German Grand Prix — and matching Michael Schumacher— have been dented. And his woes are piling up as he duels with Sebastian Vettel — in a...

Verstappen sets new lap record in second German GP practice

Jul 22, 2018

HOCKENHEIM, Germany — Max Verstappen set a new lap record in leading the second practice session for the German Grand Prix on Friday. The 20-year-old Dutch driver clocked 1 minute, 13.085 seconds to eclipse veteran Kimi Raikkonen's time of 1:13.78 from 2004. Verstappen also made it a Red Bull 1-2, after his teammate Daniel Ricciardo was best in the first practice before drifting back in the afternoon. Lewis Hamilton was second quickest in both sessions. His Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas finished third in the second practice, with championship leader Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari in fourth. After a rocky start to the...

Mercedes gives Valtteri Bottas 1-year contract extension

Jul 22, 2018

HOCKENHEIM, Germany — Mercedes has given Formula One driver Valtteri Bottas only moderate backing by offering him a new one-year contract. Although Bottas has the option for an extra year in 2020, the Finnish driver will have to prove he deserves it with strong performances in 2019. Mercedes announced the deal on Friday, one day after Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton agreed a two-year contract until 2020. It ends mounting speculation over the short-term future of both of its drivers. The deals were announced at the German Grand Prix with the F1 season reaching its halfway point, and with the...

HOCKENHEIM, Germany — Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton thanked Mercedes for indulging him as he finally signed a new contract, ending months of stalling and growing speculation over his future. With his previous contract set to expire at the end of this year, the four-time world champion penned a new agreement until 2020, when the current set of F1 regulations end.
