St. Louis, United States - March 14, 2018 /PressCable/ —

St. Louis, MO (March 14, 2018)—As we move toward the middle of the calendar year, a period begins when many high school juniors consider the most stressful and challenging time of their young lives. Not only are students expected to keep up their grades in the toughest courses in secondary school, but they will also need to excel on a variety of standardized tests on which colleges place great importance for acceptance or scholarships. For many young adults, these are the first challenges of adulthood, as much a test of focus as it is a test of knowledge.

To help take some of the pressure off these students, Mackler Associates offer short and long-term programs of instruction. All programs are customized for individual, one-on-one tutelage, and each has been proven to raise ACT and SAT scores significantly, as well as securing 4s and 5s on the numerous AP exams administered in May. Mackler Associates is a standardized testing preparation and tutoring agency that helps students attain higher grades, better test scores, and admission to desired colleges. The agency specializes in the ACT (American College Testing) and the SAT (Scholastic Assessment/Aptitude Test), the two most important exams for college entry. Resources are available for students, parents, and teachers, at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. There are also mentoring programs that prepare young people for life after primary school, and case studies that other educators can use to improve their own methods.

The last opportunities to take the SAT or ACT before the end of the school year are fast approaching. Students can sign up to take a Mackler SAT or ACT prep course by March 31st and receive $100 off of the regular fee. Here are the upcoming testing dates for the two tests: ACT—April 14, June 9, and July 14; SAT—May 5, June 2.

The defending champion Crusaders veered off course during a blinding hailstorm in Christchurch, then found their way when the bad weather cleared to beat Japan's Sunwolves 33-11. The Hamilton-based Chiefs overwhelmed the Queensland Reds 36-12 in Brisbane, extending to 36 matches the winning streak of New Zealand teams over Australian rivals. And the Dunedin-based Highlanders beat the Blues 34-16 in Auckland to lengthen the Blues' losing streak against...

Leader collapses, Shelley wins Commonwealth Games marathon

Apr 23, 2018

GOLD COAST, Australia — One of the most dramatic scenes at the Commonwealth Games came early on the final day. Callum Hawkins of Scotland was leading the marathon Sunday morning when he became physically distressed and collapsed with about two kilometers remaining. Michael Shelley ran past to win the race and defend the title he won at Glasgow four years ago. Hawkins, who had about a two-minute lead over Shelley, first became disoriented in the humid conditions at about the 38-kilometer mark of the 42.2-kilometer race, briefly holding himself up next to a race barrier to try to regain his...

Double gold for New Zealand at expense of Olympic champions

GOLD COAST, Australia — Rio revenge, a brain fade and a gripping contest forced into extra time. New Zealand got some Olympic revenge on Australia to claim the inaugural Commonwealth Games rugby women's sevens gold medal with an extra-time win on Sunday. The Kiwis made it a double within the hour by upsetting Olympic champion Fiji 14-0 in the men's final. The women's decider was locked 12-12 at fulltime, and it took until the first passage of extra time for Kelly Brazier to run length of field to gift New Zealand the gold 17-12. In a game littered with what-ifs...
